Like PS3?Why isn't there a friends list?
I've always liked the idea of being able to have friends on PSP. I think it would be cool if it could link up with your friends on PS3. I want to see Friend and Trophy support in the next Firmware update or PSP2.Why isn't there a friends list?
Well, they did add the PS Store recently and I think Sony said they are going to further improve the functionality between the PS3 and PSP. So we could see a friends list and Trophies on the PSP at some point in the future.

Sony has always said that they support all their consoles to a 10 year life. I mean look at the PS2, it's still going strong! So the PSP2 may not even come out until the year 2016 or even later!

Really? I don't remember them saying that.
You know I was thinking that 2.

is there any way of keeping friends? can you play a game online with your friend and a bunch of random people?
There was a rumor from Sony saying that they might release a friends list and trophy system a long time ago, hope it happens :D
Well it's doing better than M$, M$ killed the Xbox when the 360 came out. Atleast sony still supports it.
The PSP is not Nintendo. We don't have friends list, unless you use Skype or whatever. Most of their games are meant for face to face play.
A friends list on the ps3 would be awesome. :D
Wow, this is intense. I would like to see this support but as far as these rumors go, they are just rumors. I dont see a PSP2 coming out for another few years, logically, its a bad marketing strategy on sony's end considering the 3000 just came out and there are tons of sales that will be lost over the release of the PSP2. We actually recently went over some of this in one of my college classes.

huh? lol, you mean PSP.
Like PS3?
All I really want that functionality on my PSP for is so I can send, and receive my messages and such. As far as universal PSN ID for PSP games I don't really care about because its not implemented already so they couldn't do it anyway. If I could send, receive, and see what my buddies are playing on their PS3's on my PSP I would be happy with that.

It's still selling over 100 000 a month so that's still something. It's close to the PS3 and PSP so even if it's last in line, it's still selling pretty well, not to mention great games like Persona 4 and etc coming out for the system. If Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour came out on the PS2 it means it's still alive. Also, I honestly don't think we will ever see a PSP 2. Well in that name to be precise. We will see updates to the PSP like the PSP Slim and PSP 3000 but never really a PSP 2 unless Sony wants to try something different which will prolly be after the PS3, so it's still a long road from here. Also back on topic, I think a friend's list and Trophies would be excellent for the PSP since I don't have a PS3 and I can link up with my friends who own a PS3. I see it happening in the future, just hope not a long friggin time from now..=/
