I just got Star Ocean 1 for PSP for xmas, and while I have not played it yet, I have played 2 and 3 (2 back on the PSX). Star Ocean 2 is a solid game, but From what I understand 1 is much more basic for learning how to play the series. I don't know if I trust Gamespot's review for Star Ocean 1...
