So I just got my PSP 3000...

and it's pretty tight. I love the matte finish because it keeps it fingerprint free, and it feels more durable. I didn't want the silver one but it was the only one I could get at work with my discount. I actually like it. I don't honestly see what everybody was going nuts about over these so called scanlines... I mean they are noticeable but its not THAT bad. Its a great system and a worthy upgrade in my opinion. I was pissed because I did buy my replacement for my 2000 right before they announced this so I sold that to a buddy for not a whole lot less than what I paid for it, and kinda held off until some good new games came out. Not dissappointed in the least.So I just got my PSP 3000...

koo, im spose to get mine lata this week cuz im missing a lil cash so im still using the 1000 but i cant wait to get minemy 1000 look'n a lil old cuz of others in my house
I love my 3000 too. Hooking up to a TV for the first time and playing a game was sweet. The PSP feels better in my hands than my 1000 did, now that it's lighter and a little smaller. Now if only I could fast forward to Dissidia's release.
I agree.I have buy the 3000 and is just perfect.And i don't notice any problem.I have buy the Black 3000 with the lego,but the box say 'psp 3004'.Maybe on the 3004 they have fix the problems.The only bad on the 3000 is the battery life(only 6-7 hours):'-( .The Sony must make a better battery for the psp 3000.

6 -7 hrs? or 4-5 hrs?
i too got a 3000 as of recently. and i agree that i barely noticed the scanlines at all.

Only 6 or 7hours....:-( But realy the psp need a better battery.
These upgrades are useless i dont see any new features coming from them.
I have also just got 3000 its my first PSP . I really like it but I am having a problem playing any one on-line? every time I look for a game there is no game / players available any reason as to why this is happening.All the settings look OK / I can connect to the store fine.Thanks if you can help :?

might have something to do with the game your trying to use cuz the psp's online fanbase isnt as broad as the system itself
HiYea could be but I have tried it with Midnight Club LA Remix , thats a fairly new game:? also tried Tekken.But I think your probably on the money
I still have my old first gen PSP that I got the day the PSP was launched. I'm looking to upgrade and the 3000 looks like its going to help me with that :D

lol my friend whos 13 looked in his moms closet before christmas and there was a psp 1000 lol so he took it out of the box and put a weight in there. Then his mom returned it and got him a psp 3000! So now he has a psp 1000 and 3000!
Excuse my ignorance, but could someone explain what scanlines are? Its one of those things where I know I know what it is but I can't access the information lol.

They are lines that go across the display when you are playing a game. They are ugly little glitches when the hardware isn't installed right or there is a problem with the screen. Blurry stupid things.

the only time i noticed them was in the dark up close (well up close than usual, it IS a handheld after all)

No not at all I mean yeah they are noticeable but they aren't horrid like almost everybody says they are. Its much better than my 1000 and 2000 model simply because of all the colors are that much more vibrant. I took it out of the box turned it on and was like ''Wow thats really not nearly as bad as people say it is'', Idk my opinion I guess. To all potential 3000 owners, decide for yourself. The scanlines are really not that bad. The system is awesome and I am really enjoying mine.
