Crisis Core: FF7

Is this a whole new story line as in I don't have to play any other FF game to get into it?I have played 10 and 10-2 but no others. Crisis Core: FF7

Its a prequel to Final Fantasy 7, so you'd be able to play it, and if you like the story, you could then get FF7 (on ps1 or pc).Crisis Core: FF7
It's a prequel and I never played a FF game before and I had no problems with the story so you should be fine
