PSP questions. (Brand New)

So I just got a PSP recently, I noticed my battery runs low quickly. I charge it for 2 hours till the orange light is off. I play it for say 8 hours then I have to charge it again. My question is, was the PSP battery always like this? Is there better batteries I can buy for it?PSP questions. (Brand New)
That's one of the PSP's biggest flaws, the battery life isn't great. 8 hours is about the same for me when it's fully charged.PSP questions. (Brand New)
If you dont have the full brightness on,then that would conserve battery power
Also make sure that the WiFi switch at the top of the PSP is in the off position. 8 hrs sounds about right though so it's probably off.
Yea thats perty average battery life unfortunately and there really isnt much u can do about it. The only thing ive found that that would make any substantial amount of difference to bother with is an accessory that gives the psp handles much like a ps2 controller and extends the battery life for another 4-5 hours! the downside is it kinda negates the whole''portable'' thing (lol), any how here it is take it or leave it- http://www.psp411.com/show/review/1946
18:37:08I made sure to fully charge my psp battery the day I got it. And my battery lasts for 8+ hours gaming online. I would never partial charge my battery for the first intial charge. So your problem may be that you never fully charged the battery for the first time.
